Hong Kong Police:
May I take this opportunity of referring to Mr. Ellis's letter of the 13th February which Princess Alexandra saw last night. The Princess was delighted with the suggestion that she might be Commandant General of the Hong Kong Police and Auxiliary Police Forces. I wonder, therefore, if you would be so kind as to let Sir David Trench' know informally that the Princess would be prepared to undertake this appointment?
