I have spoken with Mr. Ellis of Protocol and Conference Department and he tells me that the formal submission to the Palace should take about a week to
clear;
so it seems to me that all the attendant formaliti Cechames, including preparation of the announcement,
should be completed within about two weeks.

I am not sure whether it is really necessary
to put up a draft for No.10 to send to Lt. Commander Maydon; but that I will leave for you to decide. I have, however, slightly recast the draft to Peter Gregson.
