I think I would be justified in claiming that the service we give you in intelligence matters has been very much improved in the last two years. It includes not only the periodic assessments and position papers referred to above but also the detailed reporting of events as they occur. I would ask you therefore not to press for a separate report but to rely on us to let you have details of anything which we consider significant. Now that we are aware of your needs I am sure we will be able to meet them, with recourse only occasionally to special reporting.
