Present,
The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy
Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. (1), This Order may be cited as the Requisitioning of Ships
(Amendment) Order 1969.
(2) This Order shall be construed as one with the Requisitioning
of Ships Order 1955 (hereinafter called "the principal Order").
(3) The principal Order and this Order may be cited together as
the Requisitioning of Ships Orders 1955 and 1969.
2.
The principal Order shall have effect
(2)
as if the references therein to the Minister of
Transport and Civil Aviation were references to
the President of the Board of Trade; and
(b)
as if the references therein to the Lords
Commissioners of the Admiralty were deleted.
3. - (1)
For the purposes of the principal Order, "British ship"
shall not include any ship registered
(i)
in any country mentioned in section 1(3) of the
British Nationality Act 1948, as amended from time
to time (whether before or after the making of
this Order);
