Dear Jaminan
The Requisitioning of Ships Order, 1955
I am writing in reply to your letter HKK 10/8 of 30th June 1969 addressed to Stewart. We see no objection to your going ahead with the 1969 Order and agree that there might be advantage in a separate Order revoking those of 1955 and 1958.
2.
There is uncertainty here whether consideration has been given to, or provision made for, the requisitioning of civil aircraft in emergency. This would seem to be an essential measure for which, if none exists, legislation is overdue,
3. I am copying this to Clayton.
