John Marsh will be in Hong Kong at the end of October for four days, and will meet with the PPC. On (e) and (f) there was little discussion. On (e) there was a need for more details and (f) is what TETOC is for anyway.
Tang intends to visit the United Kingdom again. soon, and it will be arranged for him to visit some of the new United Kingdom Polytechnics, e.g. Coventry, Croydon, Oxford, Slough, etc.

One other proposal of note emerged suggested that a central training
for Hong Kong might be useful, and the idea was welcomed, but it remains to be seen whether anything will follow from this when Tang returns to Hong Kong.
This morning Tang visited Lord Shepherd and held a general discussion, mentioning that he had been very impressed by a recent visit to German Polytechnics, and by the extent of their help to over fifty countries. Also certain American firms e.g. IBM and NCR, have already approached him with offers of technical assistance. Otherwise nothing new on the Polytechnic was aired.
