are working very closely with the two consultants
I have appointed and with the Board of Trade
may be able to help in a number of cases whero
mergers between medium and small-pized firms
are concerned.
11. The Govemment also attach importance to
any proposal which might help to increase the
utilisation of new machinery; and they are
therefore prepared to consider[sympathetically an
application by the Textile Council for an increase
in the depreciation allowances on textile
machinery worked on a multi-shift basis.
