For this reason we have, from time to time, raised this question with Communications Department giving them full details of the various Diplomatic Service Offices in the Colony but either this has never been circulated round the Foreign and Commonwealth Office or those who saw it have moved on to other places.

Would you do your best to ensure that all the members of your department and anybody else who is likely to be interested is briefed on this subject.

The addition of the words "for BTC" or "please copy to BTC" will ensure that we are kept in the picture. This is rather important on the Administration side since I am the one to whom everybody comes requiring subsistence allowance and, as you can imagine, it is better for me to know in advance than get visitors, like Mr. Browning, out of the blue.
