Export of Restrained Cotton Textiles to Britain: High Hong Kong Cost Content Scheme for
Finished Piecegoods
Second Quarter, 1969 - Allocation
With reference to Notice to Exporters, Series 1 (Britain): No. 5/69 of 7th March, 1969, applications received in respect of non-printed finished piecegoods exceeded the yardage available while those in respect of printed piecegoods fell short of the yardage available as notified. In accordance with paragraph 10 of the aforesaid notice, valid applications for non-printed piecegoods have been approved up to the amount of the shortfall for printed piecegoods.

The final position regarding allocation of yardage available for the second quarter is tabulated at the enclosure to this Notice.

All applications for printed piecegoods attaining a Hong Kong cost content of $2.00 or more have been fully approved. Applications attaining a Hong Kong cost content of more than $1.365 per square yard for Finished Piecegoods other than printed have been fully approved; while those attaining a Hong Kong cost content equivalent to the cut-off at $1.365 will only receive a pro-rated share of the quantities applied for, as shown in (f).
