Export of Restrained Cotton Textiles to Britain
Swing Scheme Phase II
Phase I of the Swing Scheme regarding export of restrained cotton to Britain ceased to operate as from 1st May, 1969 and Phase II of the Scheme will come into effect on 12th May, 1969.
Phase II will be administered under the same conditions as Phase I except that

(a) the percentage limit imposed on swing into categories
with specific limits under Phase I will no longer apply.
(b) the scheme will be thrown open to companies which do not hold quota in the categories concerned, subject, of course, to their being able to provide the necessary yardage.
You are reminded that inter group swing is confined to Groups II, III and IV and that swing in or out of Groups I and V is not permitted.

Applications

All applications received by 5 p.m. on 12th May, 1969 will be considered together and approved on a pro-rata basis, if necessary. Applications received after 12th May, 1969 will be approved on a first- come-first-served basis up to the relevant category and group limits.

Applications should be made on forms obtainable from the Department's Textiles Licensing Office, 2nd floor, Fire Brigade Building. You are advised to read carefully the conditions on the reverse of the application form before completing the particulars.
