Export of Restrained Cotton Textiles to Britain: High Hong Kong Cost Content Scheme for
Finished Piecegoods
Fourth Quarter, 1968 - Allocation
With reference to my Notice to Exporters, Series 1 (Britain): No.14/68 of 31st August, 1968, applications received exceeded the yardage available for Group III, the available yardage having been increased by 4,867 square yards to a total of 1,286,591 square yards. Accordingly, cut-off levels have been established at $1.4925 for Finished Piecegoods other than printed and $2.66 for Printed Piecegoods.

The final position regarding allocation of yardage available for the fourth quarter is tabulated at the enclosure to this Notice.

All applications attaining a Hong Kong cost content of more than $1.4925 per square yard for Finished Piecegoods other than printed have been fully approved. However, applications attaining a Hong Kong cost content of exactly $1.4925 per square yard have been approved pro-rated to the extent of 60.95% of the quantities applied for, as shown in column (f) of the enclosure.

Applications attaining a Hong Kong cost content of more than $2.66 per square yard for Printed Piecegoods have been fully approved. However, applications attaining a Hong Kong cost content of exactly $2.66 per square yard have been approved pro-rated to the extent of 72.46% of the quantities applied for, as shown in column (f) of the enclosure.
