(1) The Swedish import licenos validity period
of 6 months includes voyage time between
export of the goods from the foreign
country and its arrival in Sweden: this is
further 6 weeks in the case of Hong Kong
exports.
(11) High Hong Kong export figures under 3 month
X/As indicate that trade has not been
hampered.
(iii) The longer validity may encourage more
speculative applications increasing the
dangers of our being called by the Sweden.
(iv) The Swedes themselves may be more senaitive
to the dangers of increased imports with
the extended validity of E/As, and may nake
them more inclined to onll us earlier.
