TEXTAB/K/8/69 reporting on the negotiations in

Hong Kong, it was noted that certain minor

additiona/deletions were desirable. These are noted

on ismal. 1 to TEXTAB/N/8/69. Fresh prints of this

Enclosure in a faired state are in Kavalope I on

top of this brief.

(b) Difficulties may arise over the definition of the

1968/69 levels for woven shirts for calculation of

carryover. This could be overcome by including

the sheet headed "Calculation of Limits" as

Annex II to the Agrement (the original Annex

becoming Annex I). An amanded version of the

Agreement to cover this possibility is in Envelope IL

(a) The Exporters Association has made representatiɔns

on the desirability of having F/As of 6 aouthe

validity in place of the present 3 months, as 3

months is an insufficient period for the manufac-

turing process. The Department has indicated that

this would be pursued.

for special materials/fabrics to be ordered

from abroad, shipped to Hong Kɔng and then

manufactured into the article for export.
