In case you have not seen Hong Kong telegram No. 373 since your letter of 9 May I enclose a copy.
I also enclose copies of at attempt to draft a telegram to Hong Kong about the Swedish textile negotiations largely in context of the forthcoming discussions with Stans. This draft embodies the amend- ments suggested in your letter and has been agreed within this Ministry. Mr. Whitehead leaves very shortly for Hong Kong and I should be grateful to know if you propose any further amendment of the telegram so that he may be informed. Otherwise he will expect it to issue much as it is.
