Exports of Cotton Textiles to Sweden: Restraint on the export of certain cotton garments and towels
I. Introduction of Restraint
In the light of advice from the Textiles Advisory Board and following consultations in Hong Kong with representatives of the Swedish Government, the Hong Kong Government has decided, in accor- dance with its obligations under Article 3 of the Cotton Textile Arrangement to limit exports of certain cotton garments and towels to Sweden for a period of 14 months from 1st May 1969 to 30th June 1970.

The limitation on exports of certain of those items which have been under restraint since 1st June 1968 will be extended for a further 13 months from 1st June 1969 to 30th June 1970. A separate announcement regarding these items will be made in due course.
