shirts, car coats, jeans and similar leisure wear and, if it were as damaging as some Swedes claim, could reasonbly be an efficient local expected to hurt even manufacturer of similar garments. there is absolutely no indication that this is the case. There is no sign that Algot Johansson, Sweden's big leisurewear manufacturer, is suffering and Mellca AB, the biggest manufacturer in Scandinavia of knitted shirts, is even expanding.

It may be true that the domestic sales of certain Swedish manufacturers have suffered from Hong Kong competition, but there is little doubt that these manufac- turers have found export markets for what they have been unable to sell here.
