TABLE

1.

Hong Kong's exports of textiles, per capita consumption and

rates of increase of imports in U.S.A. and Canada, EFTA and

EEC in 1965 and 1967.

This table shows that of all countries in the world

Norway is the second biggest importer of garments from Hong

Kong per capita.

It also shows that Hong Kong is concentrating on

the EFTA markets which in contrast to the EEC are importing

increasing amounts of textiles from Hong Kong. The three

biggest markets are Sweden, Norway, United Kingdom (in that

order), among whom Norway had the largest percentage increase

in imports of garments from Hong Kong between 1965 and 1967.
