Addendum

The following communication has been received by the Director-General from the Permanent Mission of Australia for notification to the Cotton Textiles Committee.

I refer to the notification conveyed to contracting parties in COT/104/Add.1 and Add.2 of 22 May and 10 July 1969 respectively.

Following consultations in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Government has agreed to restrain exports of cotton drills (other than grey) weighing not less than

6 ounces per square yard and not more than 15 ounces per square yard, to a limit of 950,000 square yards during the period 1 July 1969 to 30 June 1970.

3. The Australian Government has decided not to pursue at this stage its request for restraint on grey cotton drills, cotton jeans, cotton denims, and cotton dungarees, weighing not less than 6 ounces per square yard and not more than 15 ounces per square yard.
