You will recail that early this year Hong Kong requested that a Note Verbale b submitted to the Algerian Government, protesting about Algerian restrictions against Hong Kong,
2.
From an aside (t the end of paragraph 2) in Le Quesne's letter 14/4 to Child, of 24 April, we learnt that the Note had been submiɩted, but we do not appear to have received a copy of the amended version.
3.
Hong Kong have now requested information regarding the date of submission, the fin 1 text, and what, if any, reaction was forthcoming from the Algeriɛns. These details are required ʼn preparṛtion for the next meeting of the GATT Committee on Trade in industrial Broducts, which will probably be held in October, 1969. I should be grateful to receive these details as soon as possible, and am very grateful for all your help in this matter.
