On the advice of the Cotton Advisory Board, it has been decided to offer export authorizations to all comers for the following unallocated balances of 1968/69 Canadian cotton fabric quotas:

Commencing 9.00 a.m. on Thursday, 28th November, 1968, the Department will accept applications for export authorizations supported by firm orders from Canadian buyers. Applications received up to 5.00 p.m. on that date will be considered together and approved on a pro-rata basis, if necessary; any balances remaining after that date will be issued on a first-come-first served basis.

Export authorizations issued under this scheme will be valid for three months, and no extensions will be granted. Companies fail- ing to ship at least 95% of the quantity authorized within the validity period may be deprived of participation in similar schemes in future.
