I enclose copies of a draft telegram which Mr. Whitehead and I have agreed in reply to Hong Kong telegram No. 603 which we considered at our meeting yesterday. I shall be grateful for your early comenta.

I also enclose copies of the report by Mr. Jordan on his talks in Ottawa on 27 June. There are certain statistics with this report and in his explanatory notes Mr. Jordan refers to certain differences between these figures and those supplied to us at the end of May in Ottawa telegram No. 58. The differences :re not great; in fact it seear to me that the only new material is in tables 3, 4 and 5 and in the analysis of the Canadian shirt industry provided in Annaxe Al. I do not know if these few new statisties will suffice for our purposes but if not I imagine that we shall either have to add to the teleɛrma or infors Cttawa and/or Hong Kong as soon as possible in a later message.
