They will be processed in the following fashion:

I.

- Applications for import licences submitted in accordance with the procedure for processing on a first-come-first-served basis.

Applications for import licences to be processed in accordance with this procedure are those which are accompanied by proforma invoices bearing a visa from the Department of Commerce and Industry of Hong Kong which will issue same on application. The part of the quotas administered in accordance with this procedure will not be greater than half the total quota.

II.

Applications for import licences

to be processed by simultaneous examination.

Applications for import licences accompanied by proforma invoices not bearing a visa from the Hong Kong authorities and which have been submitted before 22nd May, 1969 will be treated simultaneously in respect of the allocation for the second half of the quota.

Those applications for licences which reach the Department of Customs after the closing date will not be accepted.

- For all products specified above, importers who obtained

import licences under the Notice published in the Journal Officiel of 12th December, 1967 must forward to the Department of Textiles at the same time as they lodge their applications for new licences - the 'green' copies of 1967/68 licences issued to them, or alternatively documentary evidence of imports actually effected against the same. Where such licences were not in fact used importers will be required to render an explanation.
