NOTE
I.
Preparation of a system of generalised preferences on anur.ctures and
semi-manufiotires from developing countries
- Results of the meeting of the Working Group on tride questions, 18th-19th
December 1958.
The Group continued its work on the preparation of a system of ceneralised preferences for snufactures and semi-manufactures from devloping countries. This study was based on a document from the Comission Agencies (doc. S/1000/68 (COHbx_128)\which couprises, both ror industriel goods ond for processea agricul- tur:1 products, a presentation of working hypotheses as well as preliminary lists of products. The initial relations of the delegations to these hypotheses and
lists are gazua.rised below under II and III.
Generally speaking the delegations, expressing their initi 1 ruction, vere of the opinion that the broad outline of the above-mentioned working document constituted a useful starting point for the elaboration of system of preferences which would be both acceptable to the Counity ang applicable to the developing
countries.
