The Nursing Staff have now reached a stage where they will completely lose faith

In Government's intention to honour Its promises should they be further overlooked,

In the past our request has been for equal pay for equal work with the

males, but in the light of the previously quoted statement by a Government spokesman

(South Chine M.ming Post of 29th January, 1969), we can only request Your Excellency

that the nursing profession should be Included also in the scheme for immediate imple-

mentation of the female nurses' salary scale achieving parity with their male colleagues

at the Current Salary Scales as recommended by theSalaries Commission 1965,

For the above reasons, we respectfully request Your Excelleney to

personally ensure that a decision and action be taken on our case as presented.
