5. The 48 hour week is made up of 6 x 8 hour days from
Monday to Saturday. The 44 hour week is made up of 5 x 8
hour days from Monday to Friday and 4 hours on Saturday.
Effect of introduction of 57 hour week in industry in the
private sector
6. The Government hours, the same for several years past,
have not been affected by the introduction last year of a
57 hour week in industry in the private sector.
