The position of another 5,000 women, mainly teachers, nurses and
rolated grados, is still under consideration.
When a decision is eventually
roached in their caso, it will be back-dated to April 1, 1969.
Tho remaining 2,200 women, who work in jobs in which only women
aro employed, and who do not do identical work or similar work of virtually
equal value to that done by man, will remain on their present salary scales.

Three-year Course In Occupational Therapy
The Government proposes to award a number of scholarships, t‹nable
in Australia or Britain, to mable suitably qualified woman applicants to
undertake a three-year Diploma Course in Occupational Therapy.
Candidates should fulfil the following conditions and qualifications:-

Must be unmarried.
Must have at least two passes at Advanced level in the Hong Kong University Advanced Level Examination in Science subjects, praferably Chanistry, Physics or Biology, together with three further subjects at Grade 'C' or above in the Hong Kong English
Cortificato of Education Examination, one of which
must be English.
IV. Should be fluent in spoken English.
