Hong Kong: Long-Term Study
The Secretary of State has authorised the
circulation to the Ministerial Committee on Hong Kong
of the interdepartmentally agreed study by officials
on future policy. It is expected that a meeting of
the Committee (of which you are a member) will be called towards the end of April.
2.
The Permanent Under Secretary's Planning Committee has approved a list of points which would form the basis of the Secretary of State's briefing. Subject to your views these will be incorporated as talking points in the Secretary of State's brief.
