Secretary of State's visit to New York

Bilateral Talks with the U.S. Secretary of State

You will have seen from Mr. Barrington's minute of 26 August that the Secretary of State will have a meeting in New York with Mr. Rogers, the U.S. Secretary of State.

2. I should be grateful if the recipients of this minute would let Mr. Young (Main A: 667) know, by close of play on Friday 29 August, of any subjects they would wish the Secretary of State to raise with Mr. Rogers, or of any subjects on which the

Secretary of State should be provided with defensive briefs.

3. 40 copies of briefs on subjects other than those listed in paragraph 3 (I, II and III) of

Mr. Barrington's minute should reach me by close of play on Tuesday 2 September.
