4. Provision for the Rules of Conduct Etiquette at the Bar in Hong Kong to apply to all Barristers whether or not they are members of the Association.

5. Amendment to the Rules relating to the Affidavit of Identity required under Section 28 of the Ordinance.

6. Rules to be made providing for the procedure to be followed regarding applications under Section 28 of the Ordinance.

The Bar Committee adopted the Sub-Committee's report and the same was forwarded to the Attorney General's Department. A Third Draft of the Legal Practitioners Bill was recently received by the Bar Committe in November, and it would appear that the recommendations concerning (i) the distinction between the admission and enrolment of a Barris- ter as against the qualification to practise; and (ii) the pro- posed section 27(2) were not acceptel. Subsequent to this Third Draft Bill discussions have taken place between the Chief Justice, the Attorney General and the Chairman to- gether with Cheung on item (i) above. This matter has not been finalised and it is hoped that the Association's recom- mendations will be accepted.

Copies of the Report of the Sub-Committee and of the Draft Bill are with the Secretary and can be made available for inspection.
