An extremely militant communist and former guerilla of the East River Column during the Japanese occu- pation. He is a member of the All Circles A.P.S.C., and Chairman of the Stone Workers' Union, which was one of the most militant groups in the Colony during the height of the disturbances, playing a leading role in the bomb campaign. LAU's activi- ties took him into the New Territo- ries where he organised combat groups to steal arms from Police officers. One such operation resulted in the murder of a Police Constable. Under his leadership the groups were res- ponsible also for manufacturing, storing and planting bombs in the Yuen Long and Pat Heung areas.
An extremely militant communist who, for a period of five months, directed the manufacture of powerful bombs and a variety of other weapons in the Sai Kung area. He commanded a well-trained combat unit formed along guerilla linos and terrorized the local population. The largest seizure of explosives during the confrontation was found in one of his hideouts.
