Delegation to the British Solomon Islands,
Gilbert and Ellice Islands, New Hebrides and Hong Kong
The host countries to our delegation are very anxious to have your names and biographical details as soon as possible. We usually get these direct from Dod's Parliamentary Companion, and I attach your own herewith. However, the current edition of Dod's is now out of date, and as we do not wish to delay until the new edition comes out, I should be very grateful if you could return as soon as convenient the attachment with such amendments as you might like or you could ring any amendments through to me.
2. I have written to the Hong Kong Branch to ask if it will be convenient for them for our delegation to visit Hong Kong a week later than was originally agreed. Subject to that, and possible minor alterations with new winter schedules, the itinerary will be as shown on the second attachment.
This itinerary will not necessitate any special visas or visitors passes.
The following, however, will be the health requirements:
(a) International certificates MUST be held showing
vaccination against small pox (not more than 3 years old) and vaccination against cholera (not more than 6 months old).
JAMA PAR
International certificates MUST be used and must bear the stamp of the Medical Officer of Health serving the district in which the vaccination takes place. This can conveniently be arranged for a fee at the Immunization Centre, B.0.A.C. Terminal, Buckingham Falace Road. Tel: 834 2323. (Hours: weekdays 9-12.15, 1.30-4.15; Sats. 9-11. no appointment necessary).
It is advisable, though not obligatory, to have T.A.B. (typhoid/paratyphoid) vaccination. (Effective only for 12 months.)
It is generally advisable, and in some cases obligatory, that the vaccinations should be completed at least 10 days before travel.
