U. K. Branch of the C.P.A.

You will remember that you asked to be excused from the briefing meeting for the members of the United Kingdom Branch Delegation which will be visiting Hong Kong later this year but undertook to meet Miss Herbison, if she so wished, at some mutually convenient time.

2.

I am attaching to this minute a copy of a letter (31 July) from Mr. Davies, one of the two assistant secretaries in the U. K. Branch, requesting written briefing material on the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, New Hebrides and Hong Kong. Material on the first two places is now well-advanced. I shall be grateful if you will have suitable material on Hong Kong prepared. (Paragraph 4 of Mr. Davies' letter refers.)
