Parliamentary Course

The United Kingdom Branch of the Commonwealth Farliamentary

Association, in co-operation with the General Council of the

Association, organise an annual course in parliamentary practice

and procedure for Members of Parliament etc., from independent and

dependent territories of the Commonwealth.

2. At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 11 December, I am to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Course Sub-Committee and have been

asked to offer our departmental views and to assist in the discussion

of the allocation of invitations for the 1969 course. The course

is likely to take place in April/May and the Association are likely

to issue 26 invitations in the first instance in the hope of a

course complement of 24 members.

3. If you think that I should press for invitations to be sent to

any Commonwealth countries with which you are concerned, or there are compelling reasons why certain countries/territories should be

excluded, I should be grateful if you could advise me accordingly.
