With reference to my minute of 31 January (not copied to Mr. Carter), I am sending you here- with a copy of the present nominal roll and of the programme for the 1st Parliamentary Visit in 1969 organised by the United Kingdom Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. Biographical details should be available shortly before the Members assemble on 11 March.

You will see that refusals have been received from Australia (2 - Victoria and Queensland), Kenya (2), Malaysia (2 - imminent general elections) St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla (1) and Swaziland (1 of 2) Hong Kong has been added to the list and there will, therefore, be 22 Members on the Visit. This is the first occasion that Tanzania has accepted an invitation from the U.K. Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association since 1965.
