"head of department" includes the chairman, head or oquivalent officer of

any organization;

"invostigation" means an investigation by the Commissioner undor this

Ordinance;

"officer" includes employee and member;

"tribunal" includes the person constituting a tribunal consisting of one

person.

(2) Any reference in this Ordinance to a department includes a

reference to the officers of that department.

APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONER FOR ADMINISTRATION

3. (1) For the purposo of conducting investigations in accordance

with the provisions of this Ordinance there shall be appointed a Commissioner,

to be known as the Commissioner for Administration.

(2) The Governor shall, by writing under his hand, from time to time appoint (or reappoint) a person to be the Commissioner, and any porson so appointed (or reappointed) shall, subject to the provisions of this section,

hold office for a period of three years.

(3) The Commissioner may at any time resign his office by writing

addrossed to the Governor.

(4) The Commissioner may be removed or suspended from his office only

manner

in the same manner and for the same reasons as are specified in the Hong Kong

Lotters Patont 1917 to 1967 in relation to the removal or suspension of a

judge of the Supreme Court and accordingly paragraphs (3), (4), (5), (6) and

(7) of Article XVIA thoreof shall bo read as if referencos therein to a

judge of tho Supreme Court included reforances to the Commissioner..
