Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if he will take steps to secure the appointment of an ombudsman in Hong Kong, in view of the fact that elected representatives are not allowed on the legislative and executive councils.

No decision has yet been reached on whether an Ombudsman should be appointed in Hong Kong. The matter is still
under examination.
