Sir Albert Rodrigues, CBE, ED, who, as you will know, is the senior Unofficial Member of the Executive Council, will be visiting London from 30th June to 13th July with Lady Rodrigues and their two daughters. They will be staying at the Rembrandt Hotel but Sir Albert suggests that the best way of getting in touch with him will be through the Hong Kong Office, which he has given i as his official address.
Sir Albert intends to call on you and Arthur Galsworthy, if he is back in the Office by then, and he would also be most grateful if it were possible for him to see the Secretary of State, whom, of course, he met when he was here last March, and Mrs Hart.
Sir Albert is to receive the accolade at Buckingham Palace on 11th July and has asked whether the usual limitation of two guests can be waived in his case, to allow his wife and both his daughters to witness the ceremony. He mentioned this to Arthur Galsworthy who thought there would be no difficulty and promised to take it up. I wonder if this could be confirmed.
