I refer to my letter HEB.22/13 of the 22nd February about Hong Kong'a suggestion that the Queen sight visit the Colony in 1968 to open the Plover Cove Wɛter Schene.
In a more recent letter the Governor has written as follows:-
"If it is difficult for H.M.The Queen to came
in 1968 to open Plover Cove, could Prince Charles be considered? A visit from the heir to the throne would mean lot, and it would be an easy and plessing duty for him to undertake."
I would also be grateful for your views on this alternative suggestion. It may of course be open to objection on grounds, other than the political and security considerations, on which we shall be advising.
