Your telegram No. 68: Secretary of State's Tour.
Malaysian Government have now confirmed dates proposed, namely, arrival in Kuala Lumpur evening 28 February and depart for Singapore morning of 3 March and for their part would be quite ready for these dates to be included in announcement which is being made in London this evening.

As regards your paragraph 2, I am afraid there is no through flight from Perth to Kuala Lumpur on 28 February If this flight is used it would mean change of planes at Singapore and wait there of one and a half hours so that arrival here would not be until 22.20 hours. Depending on Australian plans, less tiring arrangement would be through flight from Sydney arriving Kuala Lumpur at 19.15 hours.
3. Now that we have got dates confirmed, I shall discuss details of programme with Malaysians and will telegraph proposals shortly.
