(c) I was asked whether it would be pos

ossible at the brief meeting with the Press on arrival for notice to be given to the S. of S. of the questions which will be put to him. I said that we had not, to my knowledge, tried to arrange this on previous occasion and I rather doubted whether it would be possible to do so. I think we shall have to prepare notes for the S. of S's use which can, to a very great extent, follow the line which Mr. Lee took when he first visited Hong Kong in August of last year namely that this was his first visit to see things for himself and that he would much prefer to reserve his views until the end of his visit.
