NOTE ABOUT PERSONS EXEMPT FROM CONTROL

If you are included in the categories of person listed below you are not subject to United Kingdom immigration control, and you are at liberty to enter the United Kingdom without restriction and as of right:

(a) Any person who was born in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, and is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies, or a citizen of any Common- wealth country, or a citizen of the Irish Republic.

(b) Any citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies who holds a

current passport issued:

(i) by any of the British Passport Offices in the United

Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man; or (ii) by a United Kingdom diplomatic or consular officer in a foreign country, by a British High Commissioner or Deputy High Commissioner in a Commonwealth country, or by the representative of the United Kingdom Government in any protected state, the New Hebrides or Canton Island, except where such a passport is endorsed to the effect that it has been issued on behalf of the government of a Commonwealth country or the govern- ment of a colony or protectorate.

(Note: A passport issued by the government of a colony or protectorate will not give the holder a right of entry into the United Kingdom).

(c) Any British subject or British protected person who holds a current passport issued by any of the British Passport Offices in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, or by the British Embassy in Dublin, except where the passport is endorsed to the effect that it has been issued on behalf of the government of a Commonwealth country, or the government of a colony or protectorate.

(d) The wife or child of a person exempted from immigration control under paragraph (a), (b) or (c) above, who is included in that person's passport.
