Very many thanks for your letter of July 18 containing your revised calculations. This is most helpful and I am indeed grateful to you.
Just after you had left us on Monday we had an appreciation of the water situation from Hong Kong, which shows a somewhat better picture than the one we gave you and I enclose the savingram in question, together with a telegram we had from Hong Kong on July 17. If you have any comments on this, we should
be glad to have them.
Meanwhile, we will concoct a message to Hong Kong using the information in your letter.
