OFFICE OF THE WATER AUTHORITY Windsor House, 3rd Floor,

Hong Kong.

23rd May, 1967.

Dear Mr. Tan,

I wish to confirm our telephone conversation today in which I said that the Water Authority wished to draw a further 2,000 million gallons of water from China, in addition to the presently agreed total of 16,800 million gallons. Will you please treat this as the formal one month's notice which Mr. Wilmot-Morgan agreed to give Mr. LIEN Wai at his meeting with him in Lo Wo on 10th November, 1966.

We would wish to draw this additional water as soon as we have completed drawing the 16,800 million gallons, and in the same daily quantities as we have been doing for the past averal months.

I would be happy to discuss this with you at your office if you find it inconvenient to call at Windsor House,

Yours faithfully,

Signed A.S, Robertson

Acting Director of Water Supplies.
