Dear Mr. Greenhalgh,

August 9, 1967

Mr. Gaminara.

I am writing on behalf of the Prime Minister with further reference to your letter of May 8 about working hours in Hong Kong. I understand that you have since been in correspondence with the Minister of State at the Commonwealth Office and that you have cxpressed yourself satisfied at the proposed changes in the working hours of women and young persons in industrial employment in Hong Kong which were referred to by Mrs. Judith Hart in the Ilouse of Commons on June 27. The Prime Minister asked me to repeat his assurances that the improvement of labour conditions in Hong Kong is being pressed forward as quickly as circumstances permit.
