The "overnor explained the Ticulty of canvassing proposals publicly before Executive Council had been consulted. He asked the loputy Colonial Suerotary to see that urgent labour legislation was brought forward as roon 13 possible.
The Commissioner said that his order of priority was based on his assensment of the workers' priorities; o.. that they were much more concerned About the protection of wages than about statutory rest days.
