Dear Mrs. Jeger,
You will recall our meeting at St. Pancras Town Hall on 2nd December, 1966., and the subsequent letter you sent to me on 3rd January, 1967., with which you enclosed Mr. Ray Gunter's reply.
I regret that since that time we have received no further satisfaction from the Commonwealth Office, Mr. Gunter's suggestions have been apparently ignored and likewise we have received no information concerning our own views put forward at a meeting we had with the Commonwealth Office on 9th December last. Since that date we have submitted to this department Counsel's Opinion, which was strongly against the Hong Kong Government Labour Department acting without Statutory Authority, and have written four letters of reminder. Far less than obtaining a reply we have not even been afforded the courtesy of an acknowledgment of receipt of our letters.

The whole affair which has dragged on for nearly three years can be resolved if they either admit they are wrong or inform us that our legal advisers are wrong.
