I am writing, further to my letter of
5 March, to say that the proposed Order in
Council for application, with modifications,
to Hong Kong of the U.K. 1956 Copyright Act
and the draft Hong Kong Copyright Bill are at
present being examined by officials of the
Departments concerned here, including the
Commonwealth Office.
The Commonwealth Secretary is aware of the
interest of Rediffusion (Hong Kong) in this
matter and will be sending a substantive reply
to your letter as soon as he is in a position
to do so.
