Bramshill, for both the Senior (B) and Junior (A) Courses at the Scottish Police College and for the Overseas Police Officers' Course at Hendon. The Special General Duties Course at Wakefield was not considered of much value to the Hong Kong Police by the Senior Force Training Officer though I would be grateful for the Commissioner's views on this as it has proved both productive and popular with most Overseas Police Forces.
So far as the Hendon Course was concerned, the view seenod to be that it did not contain sufficient initiative training in the syllabus and that greater emphasis be laid on the analytical ability of students. A neeting is to be held on 25th October at the Office of the Overseas Police Adviser in London at which Overseas Directing Staff from both Bramshill and Hendon will be present and this point will be raised.
The Commissioner of Police provided me with a forecast of U.K. training requirements in 1968 which are as follows:-

(c) Internal Security Training
This is carried out under the aegis of the Police Training Contingent, Fanling, New Territories. I visited the P.T.C., net the Connandant, Mr. P.F. Godber, and his staff, saw de-bussing and riot deployment exercises and examined arms and equipment available to the four companies. The standard of discipline, turnout and drill was of a high order. The P.T.C. companies have proved their value as striking forces on numerous occasions during recent disturbances. Acconnodation is, however, restricted and I understand that there are plans to establish a new P.T.C. Centre at a different site in the New Territories. The fibre glass riot helmets (Hong Kong-
