Police Training Schene
Visit to South East Asia by L.P.R. Browning
I have the honour to report that I visited South East Asia under the
terms of Diplomatic Service Administration Office letter No. PER P2586 dated 13 September, 1967.

The main objectives of ny visit were:-

To arrange a training programme for "customer" countries for the year 1968.
To review the progress of the programme for 1967.
To ren ny contacts with senior officers in the Royal
Malaysia Police and in particular with those engaged in training
Foreign Police Officers,
To renew my contacts with senior police officers in the
"customer" countries.
To liaise with American Police Training Missions in countries where these functioned.

To assess where possible the value of the police training
programme.

To ensure the continued efficient operation of the training schene,

Programme for 1968
Resulting from my discussions on the Police Training Programme for 1968 in customer countries I have prepared and submitted a draft progranne to the Royal Malaysia Police. Training will cover the following rain subjects with emphasis on courses in the first three:-
Jungle Warfare
Intelligence (Special Branch)
Riot Control
Police Administration
Techniques of Instruction
Rural Policing.
