running normally'. To turn fiction into truth' a special launch was sent by the 'Marine Department' at 4 a.m. yesterday to carry pressmen from reactionary papers and the television company. They took pictures of a launch setting off from the slipway, the crew-members of which were under the threat of plainclothes agents. Furthermore, those alleged to be 'working as usual' were only the 30-odd late comers held back by the police and the European.

1 Management accused of adopting monetary policy'

The entire workers of the Green Island Cement Co., Ltd. held a mass rally yesterday to denounce the management for continuing to plot intrigues and for lacking sincerity in bringing about a settlement of the dispute. The workers indignantly said that the Fascist atrocitics perpetrated by the Hong Kong British authorities to suppress their Chinese compatriots must be atoned for. They unanimousl;

struggle, and to carry on the struggle until complete victory was attained.

The workers pointed out at the meeting that the management had recently made use of the propaganda machinery of reactionary newspapers to announce that it was prepared to send ex-gratia payment' directly to the workers. Making an attack on the management's intrigue, the workers said furiously: "We people of the labouring class are not afraid of hardship or death. We will certainly not be allured by a 'monetary policy' We will not be
